SUSPECT
ARRESTED!
IN THE ABDUCTION AND Sexual Assault of Coral Springs Resident

November 5 2008: Coral Springs Florida :
A suspect in the abduction and sexual battery of a 61 year-old
female that occurred on November 4, 2008 at the 4900 block of
Riverside Drive was arrested in Tallahassee. Jonathan
Thomas Allen, 9/13/80 of Margate, was arrested by the Tallahassee
Police Department this evening for an active warrant for Burglary to
an Occupied Dwelling that occurred on November 1, 2008 in the City
of Margate. The Coral Springs Police Department
developed investigative leads through the public tips that
implicated Jonathan a suspect in the abduction of a 61 year-old
female that occurred early in morning on Tuedsday Nov 4 at the
4900 block of Riverside Drive.
At approximately 4:20am the police received a
911 call from the 4900 block of Riverside Drive. The caller, the
victim’s husband, advised that he heard noises coming from the front
of his residence. The husband walked outside and observed his wife
in the front passenger seat of a vehicle in his driveway. As he
approached the vehicle he heard his wife calling for help. As
the husband approached the vehicle the vehicle fled north on
Riverside Drive.
Investigation revealed that the suspect sexually
assaulted the victim in several different locations throughout the
northern end of Coral Springs. In addition, the suspect drove
to two ATM’s, Wachovia 9501 Westview Drive and Bank of America 9140
Wiles Road, demanding the victim withdraw money.
The victim suffered multiple facial injuries.
The suspect was described as a light-skinned,
possibly black male, early to mid twenties, 5’-6” to 5-7”, slim
build, no facial hair, no visible marks, wearing long shorts, a dark
shirt and a baseball cap with no markings.
The vehicle Was described as possibly a late
model Honda Accord, gray in color, gray cloth interior, factory
tint, electric windows, and with an unknown number of doors.
