Support our Troops in Iraq: Care Packages Being Gathered The Coral Springs/Parkland Republican Club has initiated a Care Package Program for our troops in Iraq. The Club is raising funds to purchase items that are requested by our troops, as mentioned by many returnees. Wings Plus in Coral Springs has joined this effort and will serve as a collection point for donations.
Initial donations have allowed the organization to purchase many items that are not provided to our troops by the military. Examples of products purchased include: disposable cameras, international calling cards, disposable razors, toothpaste and toothbrushes, and junk food.
This effort is being coordinated by Jay Siegel, a Board Member of the Club and retired Army Reserve Colonel. If you would like to donate funds or any of the mentioned items, please call Jay at 954-529-5787. Jay has purchased many items at a discount and is always seeking the donation of free products that the troops want.
You can also make a contribution to this fund at the world famous Wings Plus where President Bush ate lunch on October 16. Wings Plus is located at 9880 Sample Road in Coral Springs.
